In memory of Doctor Claudio Chillik received his Medical Degree in 1979 with Honors at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and a Ph.D in Medicine with his Thesis on GnRH Antagonists. He did his Residency in OB-GYN form 1980 to 1984 and from 1984 to 1986 he did a 2 years Fellowship at the Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia with a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation. In 1986 he became Director of the IVF Unit at the Centre for Studies in Gynecology and Reproduction (CEGyR) in Buenos Aires becoming Medical Director in 1992 and Medical Advisor since 2005. He is also since 2003 Scientific Advisor of Matercell, a Cord Blood Stem Cell Bank. In 1989 he got the National Prize as Argentine Outstanding Youth in the field of Innovative Medicine. Dr Chillik is Specialist in Gynecologic Endocrinology, in Gynecology and Obstetrics and in Reproductive Medicine. He is Professor of Gynecology at the University of Buenos Aires. He is Past President of the Argentine Association for Gynecologic and Reproductive Endocrinology (1997 - 1999), Past President of the Argentine Association for Reproductive Medicine (2005 - 2007) and the Current President of the Latin-American Association for Reproductive Medicine (ALMER Ex Flasef).
Dr Chillik wrote several Scientific papers, Chapters in Books and is author of the book “Why we cannot have a child”. He was Editor in Chief of the Latin American Journal for Human Reproduction until 2006. He received Nine National and International Awards for Scientific Presentations. projects, special mention: the Association for Gynecologic Investigation‘s Presidential Award, in 1986, for his presentation on GnRH Antagonists. He published several Scientific Presentations in different International Journals and is Honorary Member of several Infertility Societies.
