BERLIN, August 9, 2013 – Managing Facebook for physicians, protecting doctor reputations online, converting website visitors to patients and protecting a medical practice against computer hackers are just a few of the topics to be presented at the 2013 IVF Worldwide Live Congress: Growing IVF Clinics in the Digital Age.

To be held in Berlin, Germany, Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2013, the second annual congress features presentations by global leaders in health care technology, communications, patient education, medical tourism, customer service, marketing and public relations.

"The Internet and advances in information technology have made the practice of medicine much more complex," said Zeev Shoham, M.D. of Israel's Kaplan Medical Center, a medical congress organizer.
"With more than 3,300 fertility clinics globally to choose from, patients rely on digital information and communications for making important health decisions. Physicians are increasingly having to acquire new skills and resources in order to keep pace with the Internet age."

This year's speakers include Alexandra Futeral, a Belgian business and communications specialist in what fertility patients look for on websites; Francisco Arrendondo, M.D., a Texas-based reproductive endocrinologist who's built a success practice on the principles of an outstanding customer experience; Jonathan Pollinger of the United Kingdom, who will conduct a real-time critique of practices' social media profiles; and Peter Kent of the United States, author of Search Engine Optimization for Dummiesand Pay Per Click Search Engine Marketing for Dummies.

"This year's program promises to provide fresh, actionable insights and the latest information on technology trends to anyone involved in digital health communications," said Ron Harman King, M.A.S., CEO of Vanguard Communications, a digital medical marketing firm and congress sponsor.
